【Description】EnraGain 40 is gray-brown to brown powder, which contains 40g Enramycin per kg.
【Pharmacological Action】
Enramycin is a polypeptide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fungicidus. It restricted activity on gram-positive bacteria, such as Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermis, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus pyogenes citrate. Enramycin acts as an inhibitor of the enzyme, MurG, which is essential for cell wall biosynthesis in gram-positive bacteria. MurG catalyzes the transglycosylation reaction in the last step of peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Enramycin is an excellent growth-promoter and improves feed efficiency at very low inclusion levels in feed.
